How do I get started?

  1. Visit Mud Puppies for a tour
  2. Pick up or download a Mud Puppies Playcare and Boarding Application Packet
  3. Fill out the required information
  4. Gather all necessary documentation and medical records
  5. Call Mud Puppies to set up an orientation date. Your dog will visit Mud Puppies for a day to assess compatibility with our facility. This will determine acceptance into Playcare and/or Boarding.
New clients must submit a complete application packet and required medical records prior to attending Mud Puppies Playcare.

What are the requirements for acceptance into playcare?

There is a $5 non-refundable application fee due upon submission of application. The following requirements for acceptance exist for the health, safety, and comfort of your pet and other pets in our care:
  • Spay/Neuter: We require that pets over the age of six months be spayed or neutered
  • Age: Pets must be through their puppy series of shots
  • Vaccinations: Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella. Rabies tag will not be an acceptable form of proof
  • Fleas & Heartworm: Pets must be on widely accepted flea prevention and heartworm prevention programs
  • Overall Health: Pets must be in good health
  • Behavior: Pets must interact with people and other pets in a safe and non-threatening manner
  • Orientation Day: Upon receipt of a complete application packet and required documents, all pets will attend a first-day orientation and screening period to assess suitability
